Community Involvement
  • WMS Fitness Center
The fitness center is open daily from 3:30 - 5:30 pm to members of the community. Various members from different churches, agencies, and organizations have been working out.

Haliwa-Saponi Tribe Dancers
  • American Education Week
The Haliwa-Saponi Tribe embraced Weldon Middle School with their presence yesterday. They entertained the staff and students with different dances and routines. Children watched attentively and ask lots of questions about the Haliwa-Saponi's heritage. Students and staff were given the opportunity at the end of the program to participate in a Round Dance Ceremony. Special thanks to Pamela Perry, media specialist, for organizing this event.

Happy Planksgiving!
  • 30 Days of Thanks and Planks
WMS PE Students, under the leadership of Mr. Greg Hamlin, will be participating in a Plank Challenge from November 1 - November 30, 2014. They will complete 10 sets of front planks and 10 sets of side planks for a specified amount of time. This challenge is one of many to be implemented to help satisfy the goal of the MATCH and CATCH program which is to promote physical activity in school-aged children. Students will write daily about their progress and what they are thankful for. They challenge all parents and staff to participate in this challenge.

Videos have been added for your convenience.
