Biography
Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year!
I am excited about this "new" form of teaching and learning. I am honored to serve as the CTE Specialist for Weldon City Schools where I am head advisor of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), co-advisor of Jr. Beta Club, and co-advisor of Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD).
About Me:
This is my 21st year in education and my 21st year in Weldon City Schools. I am passionate about teaching as well as learning. I am a National Board Certified Teacher who holds several degrees and certifications. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education from East Carolina University, Masters of Education in Information Technology from Strayer University, Masters of Art in Teaching in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Marygrove College, and an EdS in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I am the proud mother of Tiare and Tare Davis, Jr.
Philosophy of Education
Education is paramount to a better life and lifestyle. Learning never ends. My philosophy of education stems back from when I was a child growing up in the Halifax County School System and I still believe strongly in it today. It states, "ALL students can and will learn when provided with adequate time, effective teaching, and a positive learning environment".
